"Have your guests say they are your crew. Just have them give your name and car #" Thanks Sam. Does that mean I have to feed them?

Or maybe porno instructors - Tom, you and I can dress the part for the BBQ... or maybe not especially around food.

From a recent email broadcast:
"there is absolutely no running of race engines before 12 noon on Sunday, this includes unloading your car"
OK,no "race" engines..which I am assuming would be an unmuffled vehicle??? I'd like to unload my "race" car (Ford Focus) with it's stock 4cyl. motor, and it is quite muffled..with two mufflers…(passes 85db limits)...is this allowable?

Why doesn't each of the attendees describe their vehicle here and let Sam make an individual decision for each of us?
I'm sure Sam has the time and would be glad to make special exceptions to Thompson's rules.

Cool. I just got a new muffler I need Sam to evaluate. Will a phone recording suffice?

?
"Unloading of car" - what about not starting the engine and rolling the sucker off. Will that qualify without starting the engine.
I have a remote brake system that runs my tv and works the brakes on the car.

Re: Thompson July 27 & 28
Hi everyone:
I was there this past Tuesday. Chatted with the manager, etc. and got more info on the lay of the land fwiw.
At the registration gate (they made me come inside the shack to sign in so I presume will be the same for all). In there I presume COM will also set up registration (much like how we do for many other tracks),
When you are finally "released" and UNLESS they have the gates opened to go straight to the paddock: to go to the paddock area (as in/out of the track at any time):
You will then ride on a kind of dirt/asphalted chips road bearing LEFT and contouring the back of what is turn 1-2 then passing behind turn 3 into 4 (there's the parking lot and back entrance to the clubhouse (a huge white permanent tent structure) and then "coast along the wall of the oval (some windows of concessions stands and heading towards the metal bridge (going over turn 5-6). That bridge has a suggested red/green light but just beware this may not always be observed as I already caught the track owner going through on his ATV while I had the green light
To the right after the bridge you will see the gas station. DO NOT PARK IN THAT AREA as you will block the flow of traffic for those refueling. The paddock area is around the garages (front and back).
Personal notes:
1) If not renting a garage suggest you bring a form of "shaded shelter" as the sun angles in a way that not much shade is offered in the paddock area
2) The bathrooms are in the building in front of the gas station and accessible from there, from inside the office and store, from the tech area (part of the garage) and from the classroom.
3) Do not park inside or obstruct the tech area!
4) the parking areas in the front of the garages (facing the track main straight) has some lines (suggesting parking zones) that are slightly inclined so beware for those who need some form securing the car to prevent them (or the trailer) from rolling
5) I presume the flow of traffic will be counter-clockwise (the garages will be on your left) and thus accessing the pit out you will ride through the BACK of the garages to pit-out. This will be determined/confirmed by COM officials so please don't take my word for it at this moment but gives you an idea where pit-out is in case you need to select a "park area" of choice. The trade-off is you will be more distant from the bathrooms That are also areas to the left of the control tower.

Thanks for the clarification. No race engines started means NO race engines started. Stephan,I'll look for the trail of bread crumbs...

Please note: This is the last time I will allow posting on an event announcement. All this rubbish talk only serve to mess up my postings about the event.
