tl;dr: group buy on 2013 date code, 1-2 heat cycle BFG R1-S tires, size: 225/45/17; need response by end of weekend
Just like last year, and the year before, I have access to several sets of takeoff scrubs from pro teams in California. My contact on the West Coast is at the event today (and was there yesterday).
However, unlike last year, this year I do NOT have access to BFGoodrich R1 tires; instead they are BFGoodrich R1-S tires. These are the hyper-sticky, autocross/sprint race version of the BFG R1. They are a softer compound, they are not quite as durable, but they are insanely fast and easier to drive than the R1 (more progressive peak grip/slip angles). For reference, the BFG R1 is 7 points and the BFG R1-S is 9 points in Touring classes - both are free in Super classes.
My contact, Sidney, estimates he could have access to as many as 20 sets of BFG R1-S tires, size: 225/45R17. He estimates that he should have ~10 sets of "good" tires, i.e. they have been run for 1-2 cycles (likely pretty hard - these are pro drivers tossing tires out after one practice session). All tires are 2013 date codes.
With that being said, please let me know exactly how many sets you are interested in, and I will work out a deal with Sidney. I don't know what the exact price will be, but I'm hoping to get each set for $500 or less (they are about $1000 new, and 2013 is the newest date code available - I have done searching and there are no 2014's available).
I hope to get back to Sidney this weekend or early next week so we can make sure to have these tires ready for NHMS-2.

I want a set please if possible, if they are 500 or less! I live in VT and can arrange a way to pick them up if within the range of nhms
