WTB rollbar for miata
WTB rollbar for miata
For an NA. The only requirement is that it is hardtop compatible.
Diagonals and harness bar I'm flexible on if the price is right.
Thanks!

no site as yet .
just started working on doing a site and facebook page the other day .
as soon as I can figure out how to shrink the photo size I will post them of the install on my NA .
pricing depends on just what your looking to do . there are a couple of different designs of the roll bars and cages .

I would be interested in a single diagonal with harness bar if I could choose

Re: WTB rollbar for miata
it's tubing so there are many options to pick from .
I also offer two bends for the main hoops one is with the factory seat belts and one with out .the difference is the length of the top part on the main hoop to were the legs fall . it's stronger to pass the main hoop thru the boxed area were the oe belts mount then going next to them .
again the down side is if your looking to use your stock belts for street uses .
i'm setting up a photobucket account to show what it looks like on a NA car .
the roll bar I designed can be added to very easily if you chose to ever build a full cage off of it .
there is also the fact of strength doing a weld in roll bar over a bolt in one .
I have a photo of the car being lifted off the ground by the roll bar I built . I would not want to do that with one that bolts into a car .
so if you could bare with me until I get this face book and photo bucket stuff set up .

Re: WTB rollbar for miata
Here is the link to some rollbar photos of 1 I made:
http://s998.photobucket.com/user/DKBAUT ... %20Rollbar
in this car AKA the gay Ferrari two. because i'm tall (6'2") I had to mount the seat right to the floor . to do so I cut out the old seat mounts welded to the floor it's self . but because I dropped the seat so low my arm's were then hitting the center console and pull handle on the door . I cut the console and made a pad to replace it and removed the pull handles . by removing the pull handles it left me with some ugly holes in the inner door panel . so I made my own panels and pull handles the door panels are made out of a sheet of very thin fiberglass
(2 layers of 9.7 oz cloth ) the weight is less then 1/2 of the bare OE panel and held on the same way mazda clips there panels on the pull handles are just a old out dated safety belt I folded in half and stitched together .
because I did not want to weld a quick release to the steering shaft and needed one to get in and out of the car . I weld it to a plate then the plate bolts to the grant steering wheel hub just like the steering wheel would .
I have had the car for over a year now and have only driven it about 5 miles .

I have a ready to go Autopower 1.5" DOM Rollbar with padding in place. Came out of my 1.6 1991 when I went to a full cage.
