COM going to Pocono in 2014!

Post by jeffw » Thu Mar 20, 2014 12:48 pm

Last night at the board meeting we added 2 days at Pocono to our 2014 schedule. We'll be there August 18-19 on the southeast course.

Jeff,

Can you post the pic of the config John shared with us at the BOD meeting? There are some questions as to the specific configuration.

Thanks,

As I recall it was counter clockwise. Looking forward to the trip!

Two years ago when I raced there with SCCA I vowed never to go there again. They had put concrete barrier supports across all the infield to tri-oval transitions that created humongous bump upsetting the car just as you were getting on the gas. At least one formula car crashed into the wall as a result. On the plus side, cars with softer suspension and more road clearance my not be so affected.

yes that is just what I was saying about I hope they paved the road course .
it was not just bad but real bad . I had a car with a front splitter that was two event's old after that event I had to build another splitter for the car . I have 3 sets of shocks and springs for the car and even the softest set were still to stiff . nice lay out of the track but the surface is bad .

Think on the good side.

It appears we are staying local this year and all the traveling gas we you will be saving. It can be put to better use with added equipment to your track car and think of all that extra traveling time we can spend at home with our significant others and catch up on all those house projects we love to do. Cutting the grass, spreading mulch, cleaning windows, trimming hedges, cutting trees, fixing cement, repairing decks, move this here, move that there, hang this here, hang that there, oh yeah, why don't you paint this room while you have the time.....etc.

I hope I still have the energy to change my tires.lol
