Chump event Memorial Day weekend-2014

Hi all,

I have picked up a 2nd car, '87 CR-X. I am planning on doing the 3 day Chump event at Watkins Glen, and I am putting the word out everywhere for 3 additional drivers. It is a Fri, Sat, Sun event 6+8+6 , and would be 4 drivers splitting the 20hrs.

Any takers?

After several Lemons events, I might be convinced to try Chump Car. I understand there is quite a bit less BS. The CR-X will be a great car too. Memorial Day weekend, however, is a tough weekend to commit to. So, not this time but perhaps another.

I am hoping for a great time. I think I have 2 new guys that are interested in doing Chump, and joining COM.

I'd be interested in doing a Chump event but know nothing about the format. Are there licensing requirements to participate? I have 4 guys that would be interested in forming a team for next year... Is there a website we could look at to check the rules?

I did a Lemons event a couple years , and it was a lot of fun! That is actually what got me into road course racing.

Chump is supposed to be a lot more focused on racing than the gimmicks. There were 120 cars on the track at the lemons event! That being said, it was a lot of fun and may actually do the hooptifest for Lemons in NH in October.

If I have enough drivers for that?

I will definitely let you know! I am doing NHMS-3 4th of July weekend. Then the Chump Limerock event. Hopefully have it dialed in perfect by then.
