Summit Expansion

I happened to see that they had added quite a bit of new track to the little Jefferson Circuit and thought others would be interested.

Looks like we are living through some kind of golden age of road course (re)development.

many track owner realized that have a good road course will make money !
VIR is doing work to there track right now .
Thompson speedway has all that land and have only run nascar for years how .when do the nascar people go there only weekends . i guess nascar people don't now how to drive on week days ?
so if you owned all that land and only used it 10% of the time would you not want to open up the land to more people that will use it and then as a business you will no dough make more money .
years ago import tuner drag racing was big now road course racing is becoming that way .
a road course can be rented out every day of the week even on rainy days with nascar they only run maybe on a week night but most of the time weekends and only in the dry so the smart track owners are building road courses .
if i were to build a track it would be 1st a road course then maybe a oval then maybe a drag strip .
the only reason is the money a road course would make over the others .

if you look at the sales of performance parts being sold ( moroso being one ) there sales of drag and oval parts has not changed for years now . there is no growth in those forms of motor sports were the growth in sports cars is on the rise .
