the sad thing is roads like the autobahn and the nurburgring would never work in the USA .
the 1st thing you would get is all the do gooders crying because some one got hurt or killed and though the do gooders would never drive on the road they would not want any one to .
then there is the fact that even though there is a law on the US highways to move right when some one wants to pass you when your in the left lane because it is also against the law to pass on the right no one ever moves over for you .

That's only in CT. No one ever moves over from the left lane no matter what state you're in.

David, passing on right is permitted if 3 or more lanes in the direction of travel. That is the law in NH, anyway.

Legal in mass on divided highway (one way) in mass too. I verified this. I am pretty sure that about 25 years ago this was not legal in Mass.
Usually not s good idea even if legal.

there is a sign on I95 right at the end of the on ramp were I get into the highway to head south that states ( no passing on right ) . that is a two lane highway but most of the highways in CT are two lanes .

there are also laws that your not to talk on your cell phone or text when driving but Monday i'm pull out of the D and D parking lot after getting coffee and this women turning in hits my front bumper of the dodge lodge because she was talking on the phone and a dog on her lap and could not make the turn .
it got me thinking the dog on her lap would make a good air bag .
I told the women that she should think about her pet and that I could see she is in no way a animal lover .
if it's not a good idea to drive with kids on your lap then having a pet on your lap is just as dumb !
