Paula sent a note out after Mario passed away - I was sorry to see him go, he was a good guy. It was clear at Tremblant this year that the recurrence of his cancer had taken a lot out of him. He was determined to keep doing what he loved as long as he could, and had registered for the Glen, but he just couldn't get there. Nino told me that Mario had offered to give him his race car, knowing he wouldn't be using it much longer; in the end, it was sold to a racer from another BMW Club Racing region.
