NO RUST
I need an auto-x car with a back seat
I can drop to $6800 if I keep the torsen.

Re: FS:1995 Miata prepped to STS auto-x rules
Should I just part this out and sell it stock? I have looong line of people interested in buying the torsen
Re: FS:1995 Miata prepped to STS auto-x rules
Hi Bill,
Perhaps parting out is better..
It could be that one reason for the lack of interest on the COM forum is the lack of safety gear of any kind, which I assume for a build specific to autocross, just adds undesirable weight. The expense to outfit your car with the required safety gear needed to go to the track would make the resulting build total quite expensive and in the end it still may not have the right grouping of parts to be a contender in what I assume would be T50.
I'm not discounting your valuation of the car at all, but most COM drivers are more interested in cars with cages.
Edited for clarity.

If you do part out pm me and let me know I would be interested in a lot of your parts and the torsen
Re: FS:1995 Miata prepped to STS auto-x rules
Thanks for the feedback. If I keep the car It's going to get driven in the snow. I do NOT want to be the person that gives this car cancer by driving it on the snow. It's too nice of a car to be a daily driver.

Please don't take this the wrong way, I'm not trying to be rude to you. When I see your ad I think of the words "no your audience".
Your asking price relates to a car like this listing:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Only-19-600-mil ... 1130243443
Like Troy said so well, the track folks here aren't the audience unless it was fully caged with some good laps times, and the folks who buy miatas in your price range (that are not race car drivers) also aren't the buyer for your car (they buy the car in the link above).
If you want to maximize your sale and not ruin the car this winter, return it to stock and sell the modifications for 1/2 what they cost new ($5K + mod money). Or, drop the price to like $5K and a fellow autoxer will realize it will cost them more than that to build their own car (mods pretty much free), and will buy yours.

Re: FS:1995 Miata prepped to STS auto-x rules
yes like paul said .
i had my 1993 miata for sale for 4 weeks 6 people came to look at the car . it's all stock but the safety gear , spec miata seats and i repainted it two tone . the car has not one spot of rust and never did . it did have pine sap marks on the tops of the panels and i did not want another all white miata on the track . i have 6500 dollars into the car and the best offer i get was 5200 for it every one only offered blue book for the car .
i built a spec miata years ago when i found i just did not fit into the car i put it up for sale after i finished building it . the car because it was a built spec car with full cage and suspension in the car sold with in a week and a half and i made a little money on it for my work .
this white and blue track day miata i own now is not worth selling as it's to far past a street car (even though every thing is stock but safety gear with weld in roll BAR ) that the average person wants and yet it's not a full race car .
