schedule for NHMS?

Post by latemodel17 » Wed Oct 09, 2013 5:51 am

Wondering what times gates open, and track time begins both Saturday and sunday. Planning on coming down with a friend to check it out before we build a car. Is there an entry fee for spectators?

HI:
If you scroll up on the board index see "announcements" and this (pasted below) indicated the info you are looking for:

Guest need to sign a waiver to enter the facilities but otherwise it's "free".
Registration Saturday and Sunday opens at 7 AM, so does entry to track (well, technically it's "open" from Sat to Sunday for those who camp).

NHMS INFO from COM Operations:
1. Track entry and camping will be allowed on Friday, October 11. Time of entry depends on previous group clearing the garages, but should be NLT 700 PM. Late Entry will be allowed.
2. The restaurant will be open from 800AM to 200PM. PLEASE give corner workers priority!
3. Gas pumps (98 Octane @ $9.00/gal, with "street" 93 octane @ $5.00) will be available to purchase at any time. Credit/debit cards ONLY.
4. Fluid Shed open. Times to be announced at the driver meetings.
5. Parents are responsible for controlling their children. Unattended children (under age 16) are not allowed. This is a fast paced event and any violation of this rule creates a safety hazard. Violators will be asked to leave the premises. Members are responsible for the actions of their crew and guests. Your guests or crew break the rules....out you go!
6. NO areas are to be used for brake bedding, suspension tuning, etc. Violators will be asked to leave the premises. Unsafe speed or other practices ANYWHERE on the track property will result in the violator being asked to leave the premises.
7. Minors (under age 16) will not be allowed to ride bicycle, scooters, ATV's, etc. anytime during the hours the track is open (hot track).
8. COM logo patches and bumper stickers will be available at the registration booth and in the garage area. Patches are a minimum $5.00 donation and $1.00 for stickers. Older (pre 2013) COM hats will be available in the garage area, probably $15.
9. If you are camping at the track DO NOT run electric cords across areas where there is vehicle traffic.
10. There will be no charge for camping.
11. If you arrive in the evening after registration is closed, you may enter by signing in at the gate, but you cannot occupy a garage until you register the next morning and have a garage assignment. Registration will be open on Friday evening for the hours listed in your registration confirmation email.
12. That said, you must return to the registration window at 700AM on Saturday and Sunday mornings to get your registration packet.
13. Trailer drop offs prior to the event will be your responsibility, i.e.: check at the gate for permission.
14. Please respect the premises! COM has a great partnership with NHMS. Please leave garages CLEAN! No fluids in the trash! (well, maybe stale beer, but I recommend you drink it while fresh AFTER 500PM).
15. Everyone please do a sun dance! Enough of this wet stuff!
