99-05 NB lids interchange. NA's are different. There's one on Car-Part.com for $90 in RI http://car-part.com/

yes i know the lids them self are different looks wise as the NB's have the little ridge on the back edge and the NA's don't .

but i don't know if the lids them salfs will interchange into the opening between the QTR's and rear cowl panel with proper gaps .

reason i'm asking is i have a customer that wants me to make him a fiberglass trunk lid with a lip spoiler molded into it for his NB miata . so i was thinking if because i have to make a mold i may as well start selling them . so then can i also market it to the NA miatas . and though i have done body work on 1000's of miata's i have never tried to interchange the lids .

I don't think they interchange but have never tried. If you'll be at NHMS in October you are welcome to take measurements of my NA. Feel free to fix my rockers while your at it. :-)

i have a NA car the owner of the NB car wants the fiberglass trunk .
why don't you just drop your car off at my shop over the winter some time and i will repair the rockers for you then . most repairs like that cost about 300 to 400 dollars a side to fix if the repair can stay below the body line down the side of the car .

Dave I was at my buddies tonight with my NA, he has an NB. It looks like the NA tail lamps are much wider (extend in toward the plate) than on the NB.

i was looking at some photos and they do not look like they will interchange from one to another so i guess i will end up making two fiberglass trunk lids with the spoilers mold in to them . i want one for my NA car and i need one for my customers NB car also . the down side is in my aero design program it does not offer the NA cars it only has the NB and NC cars so it's a guess to just what size ,angle and shape i have to make for the NA cars spoiler to give the most down force and the least amount of drag to the car .

another thing i don't like about my new design program is 1st it's for mac i don't know any thing about mac's then i should beable to print out the air flow over the car but when i try and do so a pop up comes up and states i can't when the program is runing . if i stop or freeze the program it stops the air flow over the car too . so i have spent hours trying to find out how to do it . it's really pissing me off ! all i want to do is freeze the air flow over the car at different speeds and see just what they are doing at 75 100 and 125 MPH insted of always speeding it up and slowing it down to compare what the air flow is doing .

well the down side with that is i don't drink !
i will figure it out at some point . when i got home from the shop tonight i played around with it some more with still no luck on getting it to print out .
i did nail down the design for the most down force with the least amount of drag so i'm happy about that . between the splitter design i have and the trunk lip spoiler it will be good for 982 lbs of down force at 100 mph . i can add more down force but it starts adding to much drag .
