Resistance/voltage curve for NA Miata (1.8) IAT Sensor?

Post by jeffw » Sun Aug 25, 2013 7:51 pm

My new car didn't have the IAT sensor hooked up. I fixed that tonight, but can't find a mulit-point curve (Resistance or voltage). Does anyone have one handy?

I could also use a good curve for the stock coolant temp sensor....

Thanks!

In case anyone else looks for the same info, the CLT and IAT sensor have the same curve.

I've got an OK but not perfect curve for the CLT sensor, so I'll apply that to the IAT and see how it goes.

ok jeff i have to ask ?
why are you playing with the temp sensor's ?
i replaced the temps sensors in my miata when i 1st got it along with changing all the fluids , hoses and T-stat . the cost of the intack sensor was 17.10 the coolant temp one was 19.23 right from mazda parts there so cheap to see if they are working right or not cost more in time than just replace them . many times when people use a filter like the K&N that you oil the oil will get into the intack sensor so you will get a bad reading .

My new car has a Haltech ECU and the previous owner never hooked up the IAT sensor. The CLT sensor was connected but reading 20-30deg cooler than the AIM dash, so I didn't know which to trust.

The joys of a new car!

The car's got a 'unique' intake system, and I need the IAT to see if it's actually helping get cold air or not.
