Calabogie August 18 and 19

Post by chaos4NH » Thu Aug 01, 2013 12:36 pm

A few points. I will add to them as I get more information.

1. Street gas in ranges from 87 to 94 octane is available AT THE TRACK. I am told that price is fairly comparable with area gas stations. Around $6.85 per gallon.
2. Camping is allowed. Nice rest rooms and showers available. Electricity and water hook up no.
3. We are working on a plan for lunch as there is no on site restaurant/snack bar.
4. Hotel accommodations may not be available due to a Jazz Festival in town that weekend. (Hey Jazz festival probably rocks!)
5 Track Photog on site.
6. The repair shop/tire changer will be open both days.
7. We are using the pit gate at the far right of the paddock. DO NOT park too close to that gate. It is a tight fit and we will be putting cones at the entrance to keep folks from parking in a dangerous area.
8. As you will be told during the driver's meeting, there is no PA at the track. There will be a horn sounded 5 minutes before the end of a session. At that time you will proceed to the staging are (left end of the paddock) and be ready to roll when your run group goes out.
9. There are LIMITED hotel suites available AT THE TRACK. Very pricey but should sleep 3. Call Matt or Jane at 1-613-752-1252
10. Noise restrictions! I am verifying that, but was told by others that it was 92db 50 ft from rear and front of car.
11. World famous chef, Shake and Bake, will be providing lunch on Sunday and Monday. Cold cuts, cheese, bread, salad and all the fixins for $6.00 per head. He is planning on 50 peeps each day.

Does the on site tire guy take credit cards or cash only?

Post by SEISAN » Thu Aug 08, 2013 6:56 am

If you are signed up for the upcoming event at Calabogie. We have been informed that there is no lunch service available at the track.

I have stepped up to provide lunch for all that are interested. It will consist of: Sliced Baked Ham, Roast Beef, Smoked Turkey, Salami, Ameican cheese, Swiss cheese, fresh bakery bulkie rolls, lettuce, tomato, onions, ( Sunday - Potato Salad - Mon - Pasta Salad ) Chips and drinks.
All for $6. per person.

If you did not bring your lunch and are interested kindly sign up on the social tab at registration site for either one or two days. I need to get a rough count for how much food to purchase. Sign up by Monday August 12th.

Thanks,
