Is an aftermarket carbon fiber hood legal in ST classes ?

Its not. Interestingly enough, the Seibon carbon fiber hood weighs the same as the OEM aluminum hood, so the gains from going to carbon fiber are questionable at best.
The bling factor however, cannot be beaten.

My car has the stock fiberglass Cobra hood which weights more then a regular Mustang steel hood. There is a company that makes a light weight carbon fiber hood for my Mustang that would reduce the weight by about 25#.and this is right off the front end. Too bad its not legal.
