Thanks to everyone that helped get Smokey loaded....

Post by jeffw » Tue Jul 02, 2013 9:40 am

Thanks to everyone that helped us get the car loaded into the truck, and also to those that tucked it away in the garage after the crash.

We really appreciated your help, and it's a great example of the kind of club that COM is.

I think we are all just relieved that You and Julie are OK.

Smokey was a great competitor with many wins over the years. RIP Smokey, you will be missed.

Tis but a mere flesh wound. Smokey ain't dead based upon the photos that I saw, despite the crinkled firewall and buckled floor. Many have come back from much worse than that. Hope to see you in early August for racing again Jeff.

+1. Amen to that..!

Pilot & co-pilot will make full recovery...and that's all that matters.

Smokey will live on in track records, memories and folklore (most of it true!) of 'the evil twins'. ;)
