Post by StephanAlfa » Fri May 24, 2013 9:43 am

Hmmm ... :| quick analysis here brings me to this...
Out of 15 cars thus far:
8 Miatas, 4 BMW, and 3 others... 2:1 ratio on Miata vs. BMW whereas other cars are also of niponic origin.
So I am calling this GERMANY vs. JAPAN    should be a lot of fun!

I see Stephan showed amazing restraint not putting himself at the top of that list. :0

I'm looking forward to how this works out, there is a pretty big mix of cars there not just by country but by prep level as well. The E36 M3 must be pretty close to stock to fit into T50 but makes some good power, same with the wrx, some of the Miata's can be pretty stripped on good tires, light and low power, the integra has a few basic bolt on's some basic shocks/springs and not so great tires to get into T50 at just under base weight.

The E36 M3: Aftermarket sways. 225 Nittos all around. Grossly overweight.

I am nowhere near my limit on the 330i but I am looking forward to a competitive run.
If the BFG-R1 (deal that I got from Nick) arrive in time, that will add i more point to my sheet but still puts me at 56.8
Pending some "investments" I plan - by Mont Tremblant - to be pretty close to the T-50 mas range.

I can't tell you guys how much I'm looking forward to this. I really don't know how the Ti will compare, but I built it from scratch with the new rules in mind- 59.6 points as it sits.

I am planning on 59.2.

As the car sits it's at 60.2 with a 1/4 tank of fuel but need to check weight after the new seat install and slightly heavier tires vs previous owner, can either throw 30# of fuel in or take the front lip off which really doesn't do anything, I think previous owner put it on there to protect the bumper from scraping when loading on a trailer.

intake, header, cat delete, exhaust, tune, removed AC pulley (I think, still working out if no AC was a factory option).
height adjustable springs and single adjustable shocks.
non factory LSD
front lip
30# bellow base weight, stripped interior but most wiring still there + cage, dash but no passenger seat (has petty bar).
225 Ra1's

Car could also run in T60 at 69.2 by removing 100# of weight and putting some A6/R1s/H20 wets on it.

That lip may create more drag than downforce, you might see a noticeable difference on the stopwatch for the south oval.

Speaking of lips creating more drag than downforce: I was low on gas.
