Classing sheets needed for subsequant registrations?

Post by iamrazor » Fri May 24, 2013 10:15 am

Forgive me if this has been covered, but I'm sure someone else will have the same question:

I registered for NHMS1 and emailed my classing sheet to Tom. I just reg'd for NHMS2. Do I need to email the sheet for each event I register for?

If you make tech changes to the car, I see a need to re-submit.
What if you don't?

Or does this belong in the Rules area?

If you have a sheet on file and you haven't changed anything then there is no need to resubmit for the subsequent event (unless Tom asks you to).

It's a good idea to bring the print summary with you just in case of a clerical filing error.

On that note Chris, can we just bring a printout of the Xcel Classification Tool Summary, or should we be filling out that PDF that is also sent around for the event?

Paul, download the latest spreadsheet version that was posted a few weeks ago (rev6). It has a 2-page print summary option so that you don't have to print a book.

Basically, what Chris said.

If you make changes to your car over the course of the season, we expect to see an updated sheet from you. If you're protested and your car doesn't match the requirements of your self-assigned class, you're DQ'd .

As it's always been, we rely on the honor system.

Would someone email me, or could the gang of 5 post a REAL excel copy of the classification tool? The one on the website does not work with my excel program.

Sent a copy of the tool to qualserve@aol.com for an earlier version of Excel that might work for you.

Sam we don't support excel v1.0 for DOS :-)

What version of excel do you have?

If you have an older version then you should install the compatibility pack here: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download ... .aspx?id=3

I have Microsoft Excel Starter pack. Doug's version does not work. Peter F said he has the basic excel spread sheet and would email it to me. I believe I tried the update link you posted and it also did not work. Will try again. Thanks.

Ah okay. That link won't do you much good then. I'll see if I can get hold of the starter version from Microsoft and test it out, as in theory it should work.

Sam,

I installed the Excel 2010 Starter pack on a test machine and tried out the downloaded spreadsheet and it works perfectly fine. The only thing I can think of is that you aren't clicking the bar up top to enable editing. If you don't click that then the sheet won't work since changes can't be made. See attached picture.

Scott check your email, let me know if it still doesn't work. I use it with Excel 2007 with no issues
