Hey guys, I am going to try to make this event. I was curious what most guys do with their trailors if you stay over after the event? Are their any good trailor friendly hotels people recommend or try to sleep at? I've never been to Tremblant so I am just curious.

The track will usually let us leave the trailers overnight over at the end of the lot.

Best bet is to drop the trailer at the track. They have reasonable hours for drop off. You can even leave it there for a few days if you tell the track manager and they will tell you where to park it after the event. I have done this many times when I stay extra days as family vacation.
If you are staying at the Village there is a general parking lot that is fairly safe.
Always check for COM notifications as the event gets closer.

My experience has been that you need to ask the track manager, whose name is Vince. First thing he'll say in response is "When are you going to be back for it?" Generally, if you're coming for it the next day, and there's an event the next day, the answer he wants to hear is "First thing in the morning." Which, after the Boston BMW event last year, really did mean first thing - by 8:15 the bike folks had finished moving in, and it was a total bitch getting out of the paddock because it was one way in/one way out. I was lucky I was at the far end and could back the trailer onto the grass to get pointed in the right direction.

As Stephan says, you can leave your trailer there longer. If Vince is in a good mood when you ask.

I'd be leery of keeping my trailer in the village. When I first went to Tremblant, I was warned by many that that was an invitation to losing everything from whatever they could take in five minutes up to and including your entire rig. It's been a few years, and I don't know if that's still the case, but I did have another driver tell me that last year he lost everthing that was accessible through one of his trailer's air vents. After talking with other drivers, he learned that a crew was lowering a child through them, principally to take tools.

On that same subject, a race team owner in Montreal told me last year that it's virtually guaranteed that if you leave a rig parked overnight in Laval, it will be gone when you return for it.

Kind of a negative post, I know, but the food is really great!

Some "positive" spins to the above comments

Vince was ALWAYS nice to me. Maybe because a) I spoke French with him and b) he is a fan of Ayrton Senna and I have pictures to prove he was my friend. In general I think if you approach him nicely he tends to be reciprocal.

Trailer in Village general area: in the old days maybe, but I think it's safe there now. I'd still go for leaving it at the track.

Laval area - or any other areas around Montreal with easy access to the Highway: Canada is the safest country in the world to live in. In Montreal you can safely walk at late night hours in the downtown area and you will not be bothered, but there are pockets for petty crimes and especially trailers and popular autos (for their parts).

Food: the best! right down to the hot dogs!

Dana and I were also wondering about leaving the trailer for a few days after the event, so I called the track and they said it wasn't a problem and to just talk to them after the event and they will tell us where to park it.
