There are a few of us going to LRP next Friday. Reg is probably closed but it might be worth asking. Email me if you're interested.
Thanks - probably better for me to shoot for NHMS, because I won't know if I'm ready until Sunday or Monday. (Car's pretty close, but have a couple key things I need to get done this weekend before I can commit to anything.)

The other thing about LRP - my car wouldn't make sound as is, if the limitations are in effect that day... Need to worry about that before Tremblant too, but not happening this weekend.
Brendan: I will be at NHMS April 22 with the BMW club (instructing). Mig I think will be there too and I thought you had signed up for this as well. .
Sorry it's not COM and it's only the 2nd time in my life (since a COM member back in 2000) that I am doing something hors-COM event. But I need to "decarbonize!"

I ended up going to the test day on Friday... I'm at work today, and can't do Summit Point because I'll be traveling, but I am going to be looking for another test opportunity in May before our NHMS event at the end of the month.... Troubleshooting driveshaft vibration issues, so I can probably use a dyno - or put the rear wheels up on jackstands and just hammer on it in the garage

If you put it in reverse, your odometer will actually count down. 8)

The trick is: Take the rear wheels off to reduce rotating mass (And then put them under the frame rails just in case) :D

Went to open test and tune at Lime Rock yesterday, My 2012 license was accepted, the cashier did ask if I had a new license but I told her they haven't been issued yet. The only problem was there was only two classes --- open wheel and closed wheel :!: :!: . So you were out on track with a bunch of GT2 race car teams. I needed ear plugs just for when the blew by me

Sorry Brendan, I don't know who Eric H is. There were two older BMWs that I saw, one was quit quick but it was the white with red and blue stripes but it wasn't 58 seconds quick. There was an E36 that was med.blue with yellow diagonal stripes. I was not super fast, about 1:07-1:08. The track was cold , 50 degree surface temp. and no sun to warm it up. This made it a little slippery but the cold air made the car run well.

If Eric says he ran 57.8, I'll buy it. That would be a remarkable time, even taking into account Eric's driving & the degree to which he's developed his car.

Was under the impression this was going to happen for Summit Point at best, but have not seen anything as yet & there is another LRP test day coming up quick, sure would be more comfortable going down w/ a hard card ...... any chance we could get an update on where we stand w/ the 2013 hard copy license ??

My understanding from Bill Hosselbarth is that he will be mailing them out after he receives them from Will, and as of May 13th he hadn't received them yet. I sent Will a PM awhile back asking when we would receive them, but never heard back. Just now, I sent Will an email asking if he knows when he'll be sending them to Bill for mailing. Fred told me the process is a bit of a PITA.

I'm going down on June 7th for a NASA DE to test sound, figuring that if it passes 86dB at Lime Rock, I have a decent chance of keeping the good folks at Tremblant happy with their 92dB limit.
