Think that was Marty Grand. Anyway, that's why they call it 'amateur' racing. I do not see any brake-checking or blocking. Just someone that is in way over their head. Obviously not a COM licensed driver!jeffw wrote: Who is the idiot in the EVO? Is he intentionally brake checking?
sno - Welcome! Follow-up with Bruce on the mentor program. Keep the car simple and safe. If you'd drive it cross-country and back without expecting to stop and make any repairs, then it is likely ready for a track day. M2005 helmet or better. Cotton, long sleeve shirt, pants, socks. Closed-toe shoes/sneakers (no 'open-toe' shoes/sandals, etc). Couple days of hydration (plenty of water), two good nights of sleep, and brush your teeth twice that morning, as you'll be smiling all day (and for the next week!).
Any qualms about the car about an event? Call Les at Apex Automotive Engineering (508) 229-0090 and arrange a pre-track day health inspection on the car. Les is a COM instructor and ASE certified master mechanic. He knows track cars and our rules. I've seen plenty of Nissans and such on his scales & setup rig. He's also responded on this thread....
In addition to the support you get from Bruce and the Mentor Program, feel free to drop me an email.
Best,
