This place is available: http://www.perfectplaces.com/vacation-r ... 144643.htm

Cost is $700/nt + 13% tax + $180 cleaning fee. For 3 nights (check-in Friday, check-out Monday) that works out to $2553. My hope is to get 7-10 people (which may mean doubling up and/or air mattresses) to get that price down to around $250-350/person for the 3 nights.

I am going to hold it for $500. Email me (nicholas.fontana@gmail.com) if you are interested in getting in on this goodness.

Bedrooms:
Master on main floor with king size bed and private deck;
2 bedrooms on 2nd floor, one with Queen and the other with 2 doubles separated by a full bathroom and quiet loft area;
2 bedrooms in the lower level walk-out area, one with a King size bed and ensuite with shower and the other bedroom with single over double plus single bed. This room is adjacent to a full bathroom.

Depending on how many folks and who doubles up we can figure out something equitable for costs.

We are close to 30 registered.

Don't be that guy that sits around and waits to the last minute. You know you are going. Set an example. Get on there and register.

You know who you are.

Don't make me call you out.

Done and done.

Now to address the leaky valve cover gasket... Anyone with an E36 had a slow drip from the back of the valve cover straight onto the headers? Causing some nice blue smoke to get sucked straight into the cabin air intake. Yum. Replaced the gasket with a full set from TMS (included the spark plug gaskets) and high temp RTV and the leak persists...

Are you sure it's the valve cover gasket?

Did you replace the grommets?

Might just have to do it again with new grommets.

Right now I have 8 total confirmed with another 4 tentative...so it's already getting tight. At this point there isn't any more bed space left, but if you need shelter I might be able to offer space on the floor for a sleeping bag or air mattress.

TroyV wrote:Thanks for the kind words. NE-SVT has been to Calabogie twice before. We paired up with 3 Balls Racing for those. Good group of guys....fast drivers with good equipment and track etiquette to match. We had been trying to get back there with those guys since, but that track is kind of a stretch for them. I think most of their group is from the mid-west.

When I saw COM was booking the track, it seemed like a good opportunity to maximize the time. It is a long haul out there, and three days makes the entire deal much more attractive in my opinion.
I've instructed with 3 Balls Racing for 6 or 7 years. (I started with COM in the mid 90s until I moved to Detroit, in case you don't know who I am.) We're mostly from the Detroit and Chicago areas. We are a good bunch and certainly focus on safety and fun over everything else on track. I'd love to make the trek out to Calabogie but unfortunately my schedule is pretty booked this summer. I'm trying to make the event at Watkins Glen a few weeks after this one though. The 3Balls crew is already discussing the trip to Calabogie though so I'm sure that at least a few people from this area will make it out.

Thanks for the post Matt.

I have been volleying emails with Ken at 3balls to help paint a better picture of how the weekend will go. I know most of the 3balls guys (at least the ones I have shared the track with) are fast and experienced drivers with good etiquette, which is why I think this is a good fit. If we are successful with this event this year, it certainly opens up the possibility of doing something next year.

Thanks Sam.

Since we will be doing open format all day, there really won't be much going on in terms of whip cracking, but I'm sure there will be something to do.

Hey you fence pole sitters!! Get off your asses and register. The sooner you do that the sooner you can commit yourself to the entire three days. You will need to get your lodging squared away now.

Where else can you get a full day of open format for 200 bucks?!?! Seriously.

All signed up! Going to be some awesome track time and the weather up there is great that time of year.

We should send a note to the local gas station to have their tanks full of 94, last time they ran out which was inconvenient.

Interesting. I didn't know they made goat urine in 87.
