"i do not want my business to have to pay for me to go racing" Why not? Your entry fee and most of your running expenses are 100% deductible..IF you put your business name somewhere on the car..it's advertising! It is 100% legit, and I do it all the time.(and yes,it will pass an IRS audit, according to my CPA) Seeing as you are in the car business, many car related expenses are deductible. If you were a hair stylist..not so much...

You should be able to get a pre-paid credit card at WalMart.

Re: pay by check
i called my credit card co and applyed for one in my name .
i will have to talk to the person that does my books about the cost of the events . i do deduct the cost of gas , tolls , tires , oil and all the other little things. i do have my shops name on my car now but i never thought about the cost of the event it's self . it does make sence though

Leave the card in your company name and use it. Dee-ductible!

The old saying:
It's not what you make...It's what you can keep in your pocket... and to use as many deductions as possible to write off.
That's how business is run.
Now the other point.. Why was it changed. I would assume to decrease and streamline the amount of time our Treasurer spends on money related issues for our events. Which in itself is a full time job.

One of the reasons this happens is when a member registers under one name and email then pays using a different name / email. The computer program can not match up / record the payment automatically.
