I called & got this year's Tuesday Test & Tune dates at Lime Rock; these events are unmuffled, and the dates are subject to change:

4/23
6/18
7/9
8/27
9/10.

$275 at the gate; $250 if you purchase before 5PM of the preceding Friday.

FWIW, I ran my Formula Ford on the oval track at Thompson once and really enjoyed it. After awhile you start to wonder how you can deal with the pain in your neck from the frequent high cornering loads.

You get lots of cornering practice in a short time. It's hard work and plenty fast. People shouldn't knock driving on an oval until they try it. It doesn't take any extra talent to turn right instead of left, but it takes plenty of talent to corner fast.

Sorry for the rehash but ...... Looking for track time for my limited schedule I found out EMRA has 2 events schedule at NY Safety track in June and October , it might be worth taking a second look at the joint to find out how far along they are since that video of the incomplete track was posted, I hate for COM to miss an opportunity with this new track wile other clubs grab the good dates

This is in my back yard. I'm SO SO stoked to have a road course coming to with in throwing distance.
the old track is long decayed, but the new should be awesome. its very cool to still be able to walk the old course, the original banked turns and what not, but i'm very excited to have new pavement layed down. They have NOT broken ground yet and plans are set for open 2014 season.. I am one who wants VERY VERY VERY much to run this new track at first chance. I have (small) family history there back in the early 50's when the original track still was operational.

So Thompsons websight has even been changed now to Thompson Motorsports Park. They have also added a bunch of construction pictures. I drove down there last night and they are making some very good progress.

Are there any plans that COM will run here in 2014??

At the last board meeting, John S. was planning on making deposits for 2 track days in 2014. I do not exactly remember the dates, but I believe they will be a Mon-Tues in the July and September time periods.
