bug in v1.3 classification tool suspension mod page

Post by n1gzd » Tue Jan 15, 2013 9:34 pm

touring class suspension modification page
the total assessment displayed in 39B is one point too low.
For instance. I have the following points to add up:

9B 1 point
14B 3 points
16B 1 point

This should equal 5 points but total in 39B says 4.
Also, total suspension mod is 0. Should it be 5?

I am using OpenOffice.org.
Sam has seen the same problem.

thanks,
Rebecca

Rebecca, I just ran through your scenario in excel and it is correct there (5).

It would seem as though the bug is in open office itself our the conversion process.

I tried OpenOffice a number of years ago when it was under Sun's management, it was pretty awful then. They laid off all their paid developers/QA so now it is going to be community developers only and perhaps has a chance of getting better.

I've been playing around with creating a Google Sheet version but still have to figure out a clean solution to a couple of missing features.

LOL, Open Office... Sorry, that my inner IT guy talking..

Chris,
Don't go too crazy developing another classing tool. A friend of mine and I are developing a wed based classification tool. I hope to have it ready for testing in a few weeks.

Most excellent.

Let me know if you guys need any assistance with programming/testing.

In the meantime then I might play around with writing an Android app just for fun.
