Looks great. I know nothing about planes but I still have gear envy.

spins - a very bad idea in this plane. You might not recover and will enter a flat spin (which is where you will stay until you hit the ground).
This can only happen if a spin starts (must first stall) and then you do nothing to stop it. In other words, don't do it on purpose.

New plane is same make and model as the old one (just an earlier serial number). Here is a picture of the old one:

(the one in the middle)
on lake Winnepesaukee (landed on the ice):

In front of B-17:

I have no instrument panel pic handy. The old one had very good navigation instruments including an instrument capable GPS installed in the panel. new one does not.

Re: don't laugh, this is not a joke
my wife really my GF is a pilot she was telling me not to long ago about some nav system that they are using in alaska for navigation . that all i know about it flying is her and the kids thing . i did get sucked into paying 1/2 for a quicksilver GT500 for her and the kids .
the thing she did not tell me was that because it seats two you need a licanse ! i like how that little point was left out !
i did fly it a hand full of times but i'm not god at it the field at there farm is on a little hill so it makes it very hard to land . for me any way .

The NAV system that you are talking about that they used in Alaska is called ADSB (aircraft broadcast their position). It is now deployed countrywide and all transponders are mandated to be upgraded to it in a few years. GPS that support it will be able to display the positions of the other aircraft.
