The Cuda Lives!
The Cuda Lives!
If any of the old timers ever wondered what happened to the Plymouth 'Cuda I ran in the early '90s, I just found out myself. A friend found this Youtube video and contacted the owner. Car looks pretty good going up Pike's Peak. I have to say it looks better than when I owned it.

WOW!!! Great story. I'm glad that the car is still being used the way it was designed for. Strange downshifting in the middle of a corner, instead of using the engine to help slow the car down. Regardless, he won his class.

Yea. He seemed to be slowing too much for the corners. That car used to work best going sideways with the Detroit Locker generating smoke from both spinning rear wheels

That run up the mountain sounds a lot like the movie Vanishing Point.

Re: The Cuda Lives!
Small block Mopars seem to have a characteristic sound - but the Challenger in the movie was a big block.

Awesome! It makes me wonder where my old 70 6pack might be or even if it still around.

Is it a 340 (416 CI stroker) 4 speed.
We are in the process of installing a new Strange engineering Dana 60 (should be ready to roll this spring).

Re: The Cuda Lives!
I can't believe I gave them those plates when I sold the car.
BTW, it's definitely my old car. I can tell by the rear spoiler and the cage. Also, my old pit helper, Greg, actually talked to the owner and confirmed. I'm really happy about this discovery because I never heard from the new owner after he dragged the car away 10 years ago. I feared the worst - that some idiocyncracy of the car that I failed to communicate may have caused a disaster.
