So I installed my new shock (Koni Race) but when I went to adjust the dampening a blue ooze leaked out. I'm guessing this means the shock is junk. Am I right?

Never had that happening to me when I had the Konis. Is the a customer support number you can call? Maybe even Alex at Dentsport or Les at Apex?

I tried Koni's customer support but they aren't open on the weekend. I haven't tried either Alex or Les, but I assume they are closed on Saturday. I might put my stock suspension in and get the car aligned (hopefully) tonight at a friend's shop.

not sure about miatas or koni's but my front strut tubes are filled w/ some sort of lubricant that "insulates" the shock in the strut tube. That may be what you are seeing.

Not sure. I pulled the shock and it was blown. The stock suspension is going back in and hopefully ill be on the road tomorrow.

So I couldn't get the suspension swapped in time. It doesn't look like I'll be making it.
