In a push to increase attendance for the upcoming Mosport event, we have reached out to a couple clubs to raise awareness. One of the clubs that agreed to work with us is CASC/OTA - they are running a Time Trial event at Mosport the weekend before our event (July 28-29). They have posted in their member forum on our behalf (http://www.casc.on.ca/forums/showthread.php?t=25712) so I'm doing the same here to return the favor.
Registration for the CASC/OTA event ends July 25th. Here is a link to the details:

I was seriously considering going to Mosport for 4 days until my wife stepped in; however, if others are interested, it would be a great time to "warmup" at Mosport, especially if you are going after any of those track records. These guys seem pretty cool from my interactions over email, etc. Their members who have run with us before had good things to say on our behalf as well. Also, I checked out their event results and they have some legit drivers in terms of raw pace. Finally, this would be a good "recruiting" opportunity - if anyone goes to the event, it would be nice for the club to make some friends and see if we can get any stragglers from CASC to run with COM at future events. If they wanted to run at our Mosport event, with a hyper-late registration we might need to arrange a case of beer with a c-note stuck to it for Mr. Swinehart.

Re: COMSCC and OTA
I invited one of the OTA folk via the 370Z forum but I got the usual excuses about lack of tires, brakes etc. They do sound like a good bunch of folks though, so they would be a good group to run with if anyone heads up early. I believe they run much the same way with Day 1 being practice/school and Day 2 TT.

Thanks for your efforts Nick, Chris, and Fred!
There are a couple of posts from their members that happened to run with us at previous events. Glad to read that they all offered very positive comments about COM and our instructors!

Re: COMSCC and OTA
I did run with them on Saturday lapping. They accepted my COM license for running without instructor. I had a great time. Very friendly people.
They had a "gator lapping" session during lunch where you could take passengers and no helmets were required. Ran up to 100mph on the long straight. That's about how fast i run normally anyway.
