bad to park trailer on dirt?

Post by n1gzd » Fri Apr 06, 2012 9:15 am

Does anyone think that it would be a bad idea to park a trailer on dirt instead of pavement?
I have an oportunity to park on dirt for $40/mo or pavement for $75/mo.

I am worried that the dirt parking spot would increase the chance of corrosion and when it rains hard dirt may splash onto the suspension and brakes.

Shoudl I forgo the cheap rate?

Does anyone know of a cheap paved secure place to park a trailer? I have to decide today.

thanks,
Rebecca

nevermind. I have decided that dirt is a bad idea. I found paved parking. pretty far away but ok.

I store mine in my yard, but I back it up onto 6 foot long 2x10s so hopefully the tires don't absorb too much moisture. At the rate I'm towing every season, my tires get replaced every other year.
