NER PDE at NHIS

SCCA NER Perf Driving Event. Thoughts?

I'm wondering if people have done these for other divisions, and are these competition to COM and other clubs in the NorthEast?

Several years ago (June 2001), I attended a 2 day NER DE event at LRP that ran along side a 3 hour SCCA IT enduro. We where promised 4 20 min sessions the first day, and 3 15 min sessions the second day for $150. My experience is follows: On the negative, we got 3 15 min sessions the first day and 2 10 min sessions the second day. On the positive, we camped at the track for 2 nights, we got dinner and beer the second night, and they gave us bottled water each time we got of the track.

The next year, NER offered a 1 day thing and I did not attend. I met one guy who went and he said they where promised 3 15 min sessions, and got 1 15 min session, 1 parade lap session, and a dinner at the Salsbury Fair.

I have nothing better to do, so if i have my new wheels and tires I'll do it. Why not?

Not sure how the SCCA got "our" date? For the last couple years anyway COM had Memorial day Monday and the following Tuesday.

I dunno I'm not willing to risk the $150 for parade laps

I thought of that too. Apparently being a national org has privileges.

I'll be there. I'd much prefer a TT over a HPDE, but I'm unlikely to make any COM events this year so I've got to take what I can get.
