Ouch! Very lucky. Street seats with no head support, harness secured halfway up the roll bar, no HANS, no arm restraints......
I'd like to know what failed. It was too abrupt to be a talent issue

Might never know..after that bad a wreck,it becomes tough to tell what failed and caused the accident,and what broke during the accident.

Some Cobras are built from salvaged parts..maybe a spindle broke?Tie rod? Hub? I wonder how much track time he had on the car after construction...

It was interesting to try and identify flying debris...that trunk lid flapping loose bothered me...the front license plate goes by at 1:00...

That was cool. I used to do that as a kid. My mom drove me and my friends to the slot car center, and we'd spend as much time there as we could afford. I didn't know those places still existed. Maybe only in Finland. One of my prized childhood Christmas presents was a new slot car that I fiddled with and fawned over as much as those guys in the video.

I like the 2-second lap times.

For those that like slot cars, the mother of all slot car facilities is in Ashland MA. Modelville hobby opened a new place this year that has 3 huge tracks. They bought and refurbished 2 tracks and moved one that they had from there old location. I used to take my son a few years back to there old location. It was a hoot as the modern cars are blindingly fast.
