Miatas are easier to work on  My buddy changed my leaking water pump at lunch one practice day in less than 90 minutes by himself.

I had a friend who could remove a complete VW bug motor in under 15 minutes,on a bet.He won a lot of money...(and a little from me.. :D )

These guys can disassemble/reassemble a Jeep in 4 minutes...

Holy cow, replacing the timing chains on that one must seriously suck! I've seen Swiss watch movements that are less complicated.

Boy,it sure is clean inside for a "junk" motor! You obviously took good care of it! Wow..that is a LOT of chain drive..
That wasn't photos of my engine...just stuff I found on the 'net....

Stopped by the dealer today and had a chance to talk to the guys. The cylinder walls were scored pretty badly.

The install was delayed a bit waiting on the new engine mounts, so they're hoping to have it wrapped up next week.

The long block came with a new water pump, valve covers and spark plugs (nice bonus, thanks Audi!). The intake moved over along with the alternator and a/c compressor.

I guess that's the same reasoning used when my parts supplier keeps telling me Canada and Mexico are the "USA"..... :?

Got word it's done. Bill to Audi was over $23k. Hopefully I'll have it tomorrow or Tuesday.

Sell it, trade it...time to ditch the School Bus while you're still ahead! Buy something used with half the money and spend the rest on tires and entry fees next season
