DB meter at Mosport?

Post by Mick » Wed May 10, 2006 11:44 pm

Is there anyone who is going to Mosport that could bring a DB meter? My car's gotten a little louder and I just want to be 100% sure I'm still quiet enough for tracks with noise restrictions.
Thanks

I have one I can bring, You're more than welcome to use it before we go if you find somewhere to test too.

I think it was the sticker that made it faster last weekend. :D

Seriously though that car has way more power than I figured it would. It feels like a 300hp Mustang would.. only it goes around a corner like a BMW. I'm looking forward to another ride at Mosport.

Cool, thanks Mike.
Maybe I'll take you up on that before Mosport. If I have to fabricate something to quiet it down I'll need to do it before Tremblant.

Can anyone tell me where I can find the DB limits for each track? As far as I know the ones that have limits are; Tremblant, NHIS and LRP.

Man, I wish the Ford equation applied. For BMW's it's:

$$² = slightly faster

I think if you're car is too loud then I'm in serious trouble. You can hear the blower whine from all the way around the track in the videos I have seen.

Come by and get it whenever you want, I bought it at Radio shack to calibrate the surround system and its been sitting since.

I believe the limit for Mont Tremblant is 92 db.

The limits are usually specified in the track contract - maybe Alex might be able to furnish further information.

The Mosport contract does not mention any dB limit.

I'll call and confirm.

Lastly, I'll start a sticky thread here regarding track dB limits. Let's keep track of it there.

I have completed the dB limit list for all 2006 tracks.

Please check it out at viewtopic.php?p=2974#2974
