tow vehicle breakfast meet?

Post by n1gzd » Thu Dec 15, 2011 5:07 pm

Hi,
Does anyone want to meet with their tow vehicle out for breakfast somewhere saturday or sunday? My new truck is now ready to tow (brake controller etc). I will post pictures this weekend. I keep making excuses for why I need to drive it (having fun with my first truck). Excuses such as "I need to drive it because it has a short warranty".

How about Nancy's airfield cafe in Stow, MA (slightly pricey but fun), or Julie's place in Acton (cheaper) on sunday at 8:00 AM.

if not, any other suggestions (or perhaps people are too busy at this time of year).

Rebecca

Are you talking about drag racing tow trucks? Or,do you just want someone to look over your rig? :D :sunny:

A truck pull would be an interesting side event... I put my truck away for the salt/snow season, but if you would like to put yours up on a lift, and don't mind driving waaaay out in the country, I'll be around Sunday.

It is possible that it will fit on my rearmost lift. This lift might be too close to the wall for the truck to fit (nose can't stick out). I will find out on saturday.

My tow vehicle is my 6 speed, 170K mile diesel daily driver. I just put 12 quarts of fresh synthetic oil in it last night :sunny:

My tow vehicle makes 109hp to the wheels, which is an amazing coincidence, since my track car makes the exact same power.

maybe we could get that tree stump steroid guy who can pull a bus with a rope in his teeth and see how long it would take to pull a COM tow vehicle a 100 yards instead of the bus.

Or If someone has a long enough chain we could even match up vehicle vs. vehicle and have a Tug of War - Thats if you have reverse.

I have an extra trophy for this one.
