Hi Will:
Out of curiosity and perhaps speaking for others as well (sorry, too lazy/buzy to check the book):
1) What are the dates of the meetings
2) What is the avg. duration of these meetings
3) What is normally discussed at these meetings?
4) Who normally attends these meetings
5) how can a member benefit from these meetings?
Tks,

Hi Stephan,
Good questions! Some of the answers can be found on the COM website, mainly under the "Getting Started" page.
From the website:
To answer your questions:
Other than conducting the official business, we actually have a good time. There's plenty of race talk and the same 'ole camaraderie we share at events.

We'll hopefully get the location updated soon. )Monthly General and Board Meetings
In addition to track events, COM also has monthly meetings, in which the business of the running the club is attended to by the Officers and Board of Directors.
When COM has a track event, the monthly General Meeting is usually held after one of the day's events, typically the first of the two track days. This gives the club Officers a chance to update the members on what is going on, and solicit input from the membership. When there is no track event scheduled for a particular month, the General Meeting is held one-half-hour before the monthly Board Meeting.
At the monthly Board Meeting, the Officers and Board of Directors gather to conduct the business of running the club. These meetings are open to all members, and the Board Meeting is the official forum in which members may make suggestions, lodge complaints, ask questions, and propose rules changes. The Board Meeting is also the best way to find out about how the club is run, and even volunteer to help with the many tasks that are required to run the club and its events.
The monthly Board Meeting is held on the third Wednesday evening of the month at 7:30pm at The Ground Round, on Route 110 in Chelmsford (exit 34 off 495, near the intersection with Route 3)
To answer your questions:
Meetings are every third Wednesday of the month. The only exception is January, where our annual awards banquet serves as our meeting.1) What are the dates of the meetings
The "general" meeting starts at 7:00, and the official/club meeting is called to order at 7:30. Members usually start trickling in at around 6:00. In general, the meetings are over by 8:30 - 9:00PM. Sometimes quicker, sometimes (for example, when rules are discussed) significantly longer.2) What is the avg. duration of these meetings
The board meeting can be thought of as 3 segments: old business, new business, and financial review. During the "old business" part of the meeting, we'll recap recent events, approve minutes from the previous months meetings, and in general discuss events which have already occured. During "new business", we discuss upcoming events, club goals, updates on ongoing programs, member and officer questions/requests/concerns, etc. The financial review is led by our Treasurer, Paul, who guides us through the club's current financials, past performance, and future expectations. The last few meetings of the year are often dominated by discussions for rule changes in the coming year.3) What is normally discussed at these meetings?
Club officers, officials, and any members who are interested. At the bare minimum, we have to have a majority representation of the Board of Directors to have an official meeting, which at this point in time, is seven (I believe). Typically, we'll have 15-20 people there, including our officers, board members, & officials.4) Who normally attends these meetings
Members benefit from these meetings whether or not they actually attend. All of the club's actual business and decisions are made at these meetings! Members are encourage to attend and become involved if they like. Nobody should arrive feeling obligated to eat and/or participate. It is perfectly fine to come by just to get your feet wet.5) how can a member benefit from these meetings?
Other than conducting the official business, we actually have a good time. There's plenty of race talk and the same 'ole camaraderie we share at events.
