That's crazy. I'm glad you didn't get hurt.

...just a clarification... That dude's name is Vazquez......not Velazquez...

i had some one from the news paper ask me yesterday if i though it was right for me to tell him that i will kill you if you move and how i feal about that . the thing is i never though that this would get around like this . i said that i did not have the hand gun with me when i ran out the door . when i took him back into my shop to call 911 i was taking him into my personal confined space (my office ). at that point i had to ( and needed to ) have total control with NO struggle at all from the alleged car thief . at that point the only thing that will give me the total upper hand was a gun ! if you take out a fire arm you do take it out with the total intent of using it and using it to kill . one thing i did and have learned as a gun owner is the rules about them . you can NOT and do NOT shoot to wound you shoot to kill only . you only do so to save your life . when the police came into my shop i let the police man know that i was at that point letting him take over and stepped back dropped the 10 round Mag on the top of the desk and then unloaded the round in the chamber . all in plain sight of the police man i then took one more step back and held my hands up to show him he is in fact in total control now . WE do have the right to bear arms but it is a privilege to do so . and that right /privilege should not be taken LIGHTLY . off the top of my head i don't really know how many guns i own ? A LOT ! i do like to go shooting once a week or so . i don't carry one with me at all times . i do when i take money to the bank and times like that . i would not consider my self as some kind of a gun nut ? that is what i think the person from the news paper was tring to portray . i think they found out that is not the case at all with me . we do need some gun laws its not the wild west . i do take the middle of the road with things like guns and politics . if this last interview makes the paper i hope they don't portray me as a gun nut .

it seams like it at times ! when i lived up in littleton NH i never locked the house or my car plus half the time i left the keys in the car . down here is not like that . when you go into the store you always have to lock up and take the face plate off the radio .you can't leave change in the car , CD's , sunglasses nothing at all . it will be stolen ! nothing is safe any time !

Most people who don't like guns are the first to hide behind someone armed when the shit hits the fan. A gun nut is something that holds a gun barrel in place...a gun enthusiasts is someone who respects firearms and understands the responsibilities of gun ownership; An armed society is a polite society 8) The media just loves to spin anything into dirty laundry..I can see the headline in tomorrows paper: "Unshaven gunman brandishes automatic weapon on teenager"...

David,
Nice catch!
I found a number of Mazdaspeed Miatas on line, just a thought.

Bummer about the Del Sol. I know the story behind it. But you rebuilt it from two cars once before. Going to try again?
