the POS tried to take my honda delsol si . he ran into my van then backed right into the volvo pushing that back 5 or 6 feet into the porsche parts car knocking it off its blocks . this spring i pulled the front rails on the volvo . that volvo is a customers car thats paying out of pocket for the repairs on the front end damage he did last fall . now i have to put it back on the frame rack and pull it again . i also have to pay for the 3400 dollars worth of damage on the ass end now . i try not to have any customs cars out side and work being so dead right now i don't . this is what i don't get out of the cars i had out side at the time the stupped **** tried to take a honda . if it was me i would have tried for my 930 porsche or my 7 series bmw but no he goes for the honda . i do like the way the comscc sticker landed face up so you could read it . it was the only sticker that did not get damaged when the back glass shattered then by chance i was wearing a comscc tee also . out of all the cars i have i really loved that little honda . its not fast it doen't have real good brakes and the handleing is just ok but a a total package it was a fun car to drive . when the temp is over 46 degrees and its not raining i would always have to top off . the thing got great gas milage as long as i keep it out of v-tec mode ( never !) but even in v-tec it was good on gas . i will never beable to replace it she had very very low miles not one dent with no rust at all even were to hondas rust on the QTR's were the bumper bolts up other than some stone chips on the front the car was mint . i didn't have full coverage on the car because it was 17 years old and if i crach it i'm a body man and i would just pay for it my self . i never really though about some one taking a 17 year old car when there were always many other better cars to steal from me .

My girlfriend has a '95 Del Sol that she is thinking of selling. New smoked lexan roof, auto . 235k miles. Compression good, burns no oil, everything works, new calipers, front rotors, no rust, 1600cc single cam.

if it was an si with 5 speed , red , with a mint body and well under 100K i would think about it . it would also have to have the early front end with driving lights .

Glad you're okay David, Glad you used some persuasion too, that always helps things  I'd take that lil rascal for all he's worth too if you can. David, you need to take a vacation with the amount of stuff you've been through. I hope things get better for you.

Dave,

Leave it to you to take a crappy situation and make it all seem so cool. The COM product placement was awesome, though I do understand it was a coincidence!

"If you move, I'm going to shoot you". I plan on using that line on my next student.

Kidding aside, I'm glad you are OK, and hope you come out ahead.

I must say, if you liked the Del Sol, you'll love a Miata. Just a thought. Not sure of your previous Miata experiences.

Best,

Will

Wow. I can just see you on the hood of your Honda as the asshat backs off across the parking lot and into the tree.
You have a better temper than me..I would have drilled him. Of course, then his family would probably sue...

If you are considering a new STi,you may want to consider a new Evo as well..local dealers have them for less than $35k..

i didn't put the sticker there thats how it ended up after the dip stick hit the tree .please sir can i wipe the blood off my face ? F--- NO !!! he didn't move ! i do like the miata's i built my 1st one to do spec miata with . after i got the cage built racing seat in and the roof on i could not fit into the car . once your 6' 2" and over they become a little small . i want a open top car again but if its going to be a real convertible i will also want a roll bar in the car . thats why i tend to lean tord targa's . i also want a 2 seater so i just don't know ? on the way back into the shop he did fall on the ground 3 times  .

It is sad unfortunately a sign of the times I speculate. I woke up saw the posting on FB and said Oh wow... As for the STI ... you could find a decent one used I bet, That's how I landed mine much beefier platform then what the MS3 had although cornering was much crisper but then again you play with the diff as Auto +/- changes the stability quite a bit.

like the delsol i will keep it 99.8% stock . i need a daily driver . i was thinking in years past when it snowed i would take the van or the bmw to work . the delsol is to light and rides up on top of the snow but there is no weight to it so it would not compress the snow under the tires . i will have to think about what i want . i would love to have a two seater targa with AWD . i had a lancia delta hp 10 or 11 years ago but it was a PITA to get it reg for the street . it was a fun car for the time i had it . maybe a mini speedster or the new fiat 500 soft top or a 1st gen.mazda speed 3 ??????????
