Cool. Has anyone tried applying that procedure to non-miata's?

New hubs on my Miata, They have about 500 miles on them. I'm using all the Miata clips, springs, etc, and they were in place. Thanks Cy, for the suggestion about the inter-race maintenance.

Just got my new hub re-greased last night. My wife hates the smell but our puppy wouldn't leave me alone the entire time. FYI, the seal on the car side of the hub is fragile and can be easily torn during removal from the hub. These seals ARE NOT available from Mazda; you have to buy the entire hub to get new seals. However Advanced Autosports has just begun to stock the seals for $20/set.

Yeah, I used Amsoil high temp grease on new wheel bearings when I was tracking Imprezas. They would eat front wheel bearings. They usually only lasted 4 or 5 events dual driving. I'm sure the Amsoil grease helped, but its hard to know for sure.
