emra is an ok club . i like comscc alot but they don't have wheel to wheel racing . maybe they should ??? i'm going to do the emra event at line rock on the 23rd then the week end after that is njmp . because i can only get 2 track days out of a chain i ordered 8 chains . last year it was the out put shafts that broke after i redesigned that it was the clutches 6 in one year . now its the chains that are over heating and snapping . it seams that when i make one thing stronger that the next thing in the drive line brakes . were will it end when i get to the rear wheels ?

yup, rear wheels. we had the same plan with the tr6. upgrade the hp to 145 % of stock, add solid motor mounts, upgrade the clutch, upgrade the ujoints, replace the oem diff with a nissan lsd, oh, and add solid mounts for the diff as well, replace the irs axles with honda parts, install new bearing plates on the axle ends, oh, and solid bushings for the trailing arms, then put on the new tires, and realize we needed to spend several thousand on shocks and springs....

it ends when you go faster.

I actually looked into going to the EMRA event a week or so ago. When I saw the TT/practice schedule, I lost a lot of interest (3 20 minute sessions at best each day). There are several races. The "sprintduro" has the most appeal. A 3-hour should be easy, and fun.

i'm not a fan of there TT events . i like the wheel to wheel racing . they are only one of a couple clubs that do endurance races . i'm almost finsihed with my 944 V8 aka porvette Will Strobel and i are going to use that car for the endurance events . untill then a friend and i are using his 944 . the diasio is just not up to the task yet ! one thing i don't like about EMRA is that they don't hire flagers they look for volunteers to work the flaging stations . i do like there timing system . that is one thing i wish comscc would do . every lap you do is timed by them . i installed a tran x 260 DP AMB system i my car . but if you don't have one emra will rent you one real cheap . i think there is good and bad with all clubs .
