Post by pdleahy » Wed Jun 15, 2011 8:31 am

1982 Volkswagen Rabbit Race Car $3000

I bought this race car two years ago and have not been using it as much as I would like. The car is and absolute blast at the track.
This car is track ready and needs nothing. Comes with three sets of used race tires.
-2 Door
-1.8L Block
-8 Valve Head w/ solid lifters
-16 Valve pistons for higher compression
-CIS fuel injection
-Custom exhaust w/ headers, magnaflow muffler, and side exit tip
-Four wheel disc brakes
-Custom coil overs and cambers plates
-Custom dash board
-Matching Kirky race seats
-Five point harness
-Full roll cage
-Battery relocated to back
-Fuel Cell (runs on 110 octane)

It was on the dyno in 2007. I don't have the numbers any more. But it was about 124hp at the wheels.

It was 130 at the wheels a couple of years (but not many hours) ago. I've driven the car and it is sorted and fun to drive. It is quick enough to get John S. feeling ill (so I hear) ;)
