The teams can be totally mixed as the starting time for each team will be handicapped according to the total time trial times of all team members.

There is a rough draft of rules. Three of us are working out the details. Stay tuned.
But wait, if it is on the school day how will you know what the TT times are to establish the handicap?

There is time trial history for most Licensed club members and their cars.

same as the usual licensed groups run-- point bys required and must be given. No passing except in passing zones.

With this being our first Relay Rally in 20 years we want to keep the organization as simple as possible - we will use a computer program to assign teams so that the elapsed time for each team is as close as possible. If the elapsed times for teams are too spread out then we would have to start each team at a different time - if there were to be a full-course caution in the first few run groups this would then give too big of an advantage to the faster overall team.

Once the teams are set however, we are going to ask each team to meet, choose a team name, select a captain (cannot be a BOD member or instructor) and then set up the order in which they want to compete.

Stay tuned for the complete rules - we are still working on them.

How do we enter into the relay? Is it assumed if we are registered for Day 2 and licensed/solo'd? I didn't see a separate link on the registration page.

Yes. If you attend Day 2 (Saturday), you are all set. There will be an announcement and some instructions during the drivers' meeting.

Bill: I am assuming the "times" will be "registered" that day of TT and not past (historic) info. In my case I changed class for example (SSC to ST-4).
In the case of students, instructors can actually time them while instructing in the car and submit the times if they are cleared for solo at the end of the day. I believe that would be "simple" enough for you to compile the data.
