Looking for coil over springs

Post by dinoracer » Tue May 10, 2011 10:15 pm

Doing a little tweaking of the setup (Tein Flex). Looking for a pair of 6kg 2-3/4" (70 mm)ID x 7" (170 mm) tall springs. Could also use a set of 9kg 70 mm x 170 mm for the front.

Anyone got these hanging around, or local source I can pick some up from before this weekend?

Thanks

I don 't have exactly what you're looking for, but I do have a pair of 7" 300 pound Eibach springs (about 5.4 kg) that used to be in the rear of my Miata. If you think that's close enough, let me know.

Dave- Thanks, but if they are the "standard' Eibach, they are likely 2.5" ID ( 60 mm); the Tein coilovers use slightly bigger 2.75" ID ( 70mm) coils, and thus don't fit.

Thanks Paul, I should be able to make them work. How much do you want for them, and when can you ship them? I'm try to put them before my corner-weighting appointment this weekend...

thanks tom

Tom, I'll ship them this afternoon. Just cover shipping costs and I'll be glad to pass these on.

Just give me a call to arrange shipment.

I'm getting a feeling the Miata won't be ready for the corner weighting Saturday.?????

Alas, the springs didn't fit. The Tein folks apparently make smaller ID springs too. Still looking for 2.75" (70mm) ID springs, but not such a rush now, since the setup isn't going to change until at least July now. Thanks Tom

Summit and I are well acquainted

They're not my friend on these. They have plenty of coil-over springs, but not this 70mm ID size. I can mail order them from another source or three, but I start here first since we all have crap like this lying around and it's better for the planet to re-use and recycle :D

Thanks for the link.

My H&R coilovers spec a 70mm coil, but I can use the 2.625" ID springs from Summit on them with no issues. Maybe your Teins could too? Dunno..just trying to help.. :sunny:
