Paint protection?

Post by TroyV » Fri Apr 14, 2006 10:22 am

After the practice day at NHIS last saturday, I noticed quite a lot of dings, chips and some pretty nasty scratches down the side of the car from road debris. I didn't buy my Cobra to be a show car by any means, and I'm not a big fan of car bras. I was just curious as to what folks are using if anything at all. This is in reference to racer tape or that clear mylar stuff or similar.

Any tips?

Sorry man, I'm probably responsible. There's always sh*t falling off my car.

I didn't see your car in my group. I would have remembered since I'd see you passing me twice a session.

The clear bra type stuff works well but is really expensive. A good coat of wax and a budget to repaint the front of your car when you're ready to sell is probably your best bet.

Or you can go to a track-only car where you not only don't care about the paint, but drill random holes in it just for fun. :D
