Personally I like the rain.

If anybody would like to throw an "early departer" a bone and let him know what his time was, that would be very thoughtful.

Thanks,

Mike

Mike, I don't remember your time, but I do remember everyone grumbling about the shortcut you must have taken across the infield. Congrats on another(?) FTD!

I wish I had that video of your 1:37 lap (starting at the 12:29 mark) to study before going to Mosport. Pretty impressive. Thanks again for talking me through how to do T2, T4, and T5 -- that helped a lot. Just wish I had more dry sessions to learn that track.

More happy dry video from Mosport:

I lent the datalogger to Troy thinking there would be more dry sessions to come, so no data overlay. I deleted the first five minutes it took to warm up the Pirelli PZero GrandAm scrubs, so if you are looking for where I pointed you by, it is probably in that section :-)

Its a g-force meter, I had cut back the resolution on the camera the night before as I wasn't sure I would be able to download between fast back to back runs. It was a mistake! It made the numbers almost impossible to read, I did see 1.07 a few times though, I just needed to see the vid before the time runs to do my best. I was just too much of a rolling roadblock when it was wet to ruin others fun, not my style.

All in all it was a blast!

Who was the White Miata with the red rear to front center stripe that I lapped before I broke my car?

I had a productive event. Though I think we would have all preferred doing it in the dry, getting all the drive time on the Hoosier Wets save one session was a great learning experience. At least it wasn't off and on with the TT being half dry and half wet like is always seems to be when weather was involved. I'm glad that I have been getting use out of the wets. I have heard so many stories about folks buying them, just for them to sit unused and dry rotting.

Big thanks to Jeff, Lester and Fred for helping me with my burst coolant hose situation. It was pretty easily dealt with. Stopping in the hot pit in a cloud of smoke, Bill and Les were there in what seemed to be just a couple of seconds to make sure I was ok. I was more than just a little impressed with the response time. I had popped the pin on the fire bottle and was ready for flame until I recognised it was coolant flowing straight onto the red hot exhaust header.

The white Miata with red stripes sounds like Barry Gammon.

Thanks, hopefully you'll have a chance to get back there. I know the move would make that tough. It's such a great track

Jim yes it is a chevy small block 406cid with about 500hp.I think it has been raced since 2004 or 2005 with a few up grades. So I guess I can not complain. It looks like it dropped a valve and you know what happens after that.So I am looking too see how much it is going too cost too build maybe a bigger motor, would like too build one around 427 or 454 small block but will have too see.
