Yeah, they do, especially after being flogged on the track. But the lifter tick in mine usually goes away after I change the oil.

Yea mine has always ticked after storage but this time seemed worse. It looks like I'll be making it to the test day after all.

My lifter tick is the "change oil soon" light that Mazda left out of the dashboard layout. Gets worse as I approach 3K miles. - Paul G.
