T2 at MT scared the crap out of me in the 964 - I was getting up to speed and was well into the throttle over the top. Lost the back end (not a little)...save of my life...and I'm here to talk about it - and my dad's car is fine.
However, during the open track my dad wants his car back so I hop in the 325i that my sister was driving all day. With all-season tires I go almost WOT over the top, tires screaming, a gentle push the whole way - no issues...

Have a few questions about Mosport
What time can we get in too the track and is there any camping at the track and will we be able too stay overnight.Yes this will be my first time there and so will need alot of help on getting around it.Any and all help will be appreciated.

Hey Butch, glad to hear you're coming up. You're gonna love this track.
Sam usually post an operations report, but heres what I know based on past events.
- You will most likely be able to enter the paddock on Sunday night. You have to cross over the track to get to the paddock with a trailer though, so don't plan on getting in before 5pm.
- Overnight camping has been allowed in the past.

...you are pretty hard on that Corvette, but I suppose he spent the whole lap mid-track and off line.

Coool I am looking forward to doing it and from what I have seen on the posts that it is a lot like Mt.Trem and is it as fast as calabogy or more on like Walkins Glen.

Mosport is my favorite track, has the best flow/rhythm and the greatest average speed of any road course east of the Mississippi. Nate's track guide is nice but most people double-apex T2. (I've discovered the single apex gives me grey hair ... check out what its done for Nate!)

Mosport is the fastest track we run on, and maybe the fastest track in the East.

So Nate you are saying it is faster than Walkins Glen.......looks like maybe I need too find some different gears too bring with me so I can change them so I can go faster than I did at the Glen

Back straight is 2/3 mile long! Bu tit is uphill so speed depends on power. Miatas slow down on the straight, high powered cars accelerate to infinity. Trucks? Who knows? After you get to your top speed on the back straight you will find a series of decreasing radius turns fascinating.

It has mostly fast corners, which is what makes it the fastest track - for Miatas. Maybe not so true for more powerful cars?

Bruce is the back straight at Mosport about the same as the back straight at Monticello if so I will have too get a few different rear gears so I can change them there and play maybe a little more
Nate that is good too know and I am thinking the blazer should be kind of good there since I got down too a 1:18 at NHMS

Monticello is faster because it is not uphill. Similar length. Also the entry to Mosport back straight is a VERY slow corner.
