Dodge hemi "performance" chip question

Post by offcamber09 » Sun Apr 03, 2011 2:00 pm

Anyone out there have any experience with Dodge 5.7 hemi computer performance chips or OBD2 plug-in devices aimed at increased fuel economy. Performance is not the goal- fuel economy is. This is for a relative with a 5.7l Dodge Durango 2008/9 ish. Thanks, Scott.

Hypertech 52001
Diablosport U7137
Superchips 3865

They all cost about the same. Along with a 20-25HP bump most of my customers usually see a 1-2mpg gain assuming your throttle foot isn't planted all the time. I prefer Diablosport due to good customer service.

K&N p/n 63-1094 (assuming it's a 2008) will help just as much with mileage if not moreso than the programmer...and gain you 17.5HP too. Double check the above part numbers before you order anything on the manufacturer's websites. I used 09 for the searches but K&N only lists the intake kit for the 08, not 09.

Thanks Cy- I'll get better vehicle info and give you a call. I'd rather give you the business...wait that doesn't sound right
