T2A is crazy, though. In Wasilko's car I can turn in and put it nearly on the curb, and accelerate into 2B. In my car if I try that...well, Will has followed me through there at least 3 times where he has had to drive around a spinning blue Miata.

Thanks again, this is great info.

Troy, I'm going to flow-meter your new engine :!:
I hear that Will character can be kind of a bully when riding on your bumper.. :)

Lester has the engine running, which is very exciting... Of course I had to play it off like "eh whatever" in front of him......lest he think that I'm being too anxious.

T3 is fun with an open diff! Troy might remember sliding through there a few times with me.

Actually, I do remember that, but your driving was always very well controlled.

Thanks Troy. A limited slip is definitely on my list of things to get.

The average used torsion swap is going for around $1300 these days, if you can find one.

I got lucky and bought this with the drive-shaft (not pictured):

for $450 from a local yard. Again, a 4:10 ratio though from a higher mileage '94 model. Search on car-parts.com for auto recyclers, they don't know as much about the desirability and you can probably get a decent 4:30 for under $1000.

Wow. I think there may be a Miata part growing out of that pile of rust!

It's not pretty that's for sure, but the spare parts will all clean up. The car was sitting in 2-feet of snow with no wheels on it. The diff has been in my '91 for over a year now; think I put 15K miles on it so far. :D It beats paying as much as an entire miata parts car for a low mileage no rust one, and installing it in a $3500 car.

After I solved the problem locally, I found a wrecking yard in Las Vegas that has at least 3 LSD kits from various years, $1300 all parts plus delivery.

Can't recall the name right now, but google "Used Miata parts Las Vegas" and it comes up.

Owner is a SpecMiata racer.
