Miata 1.6

Post by TroyV » Fri Jan 07, 2011 1:23 pm

My 1.6 engine is for sale if anyone wants it.

I don't have exact figures, but based loosely on info I have dug up, I'd place this engine at over 85k miles. It had a new timing belt and water pump installed mid season. It ran strong enough to get me some class wins and finish the 2010 season in 2nd place in class, not to mention a couple of Devens autocross FTD's. It has a very fancy Racing Beat header which i was planning to sell separately but can sell with the engine if someone was interested. There is also an underdrive crank pully on there from unorthodox. The last time the car was on the dyno it made 106/98, which is pretty damned good for a 1.6.

The engine is in the car, but will be removed within the next few weeks.

Make an offer..........No reasonable one will be refused.

It is a short nose crank, but the keyway is in good shape as we checked it out when the new timing belt was installed.

How does 250 with the header sound?

Well the price is reasonable, but I need a long nose crank for a race engine I am selling. Thanks

Are you sure you can't sell the race motor with the short nose crank and just say it was for weight reduction? LOL

Hmmm.....get way less money and make you faster in my class with a header.. Sounds like a win/win... LOL

What is this craigslist?.....250 is more than reasonable for the package....even Chris thinks so.

C'mon....you know you want it.

In that case, you probably shouldn't have brought your wife to the Fight Club!
