I have a Logitech G25 that works with my laptop, no issues. I just have a little Lenovo Think Pad with a crappy Intel integrated graphics card, and iRacing works fine with the wheel - force feedback, clutch, and h-pattern shifter all work perfectly. You just need to download the drivers which are super easy to find and install.

Seriously, for those in need of a quick racing fix, here is a great game: http://generally.rscsites.org/version.shtml

This game will challenge you with braking, turn in, turn out, throttle control, and focus (something I left behind at my last event).

Make sure to map your keyboard keys to use 2 hands (right hand is throttle, brake, left hand is right and left).

i gave away my PS2 & GT4 thinking i wont need/want them since i purchased a brand new PS3 & the new (then) GT5 prologue game not realising  that it was just a sample of the actual GT5 game, all though it's a lot of fun playing on line, i miss all the tracks & cars of the prior GT games, i hope the quit BS with the release date & make this the last postponement!

Paul, what's the story with your car, did you fix it yet, are you bolting any xtra go fast goodies? 8)

Absolutely, no other way to play. There are a few different ways to do this, and it depends on your computer/tv. If you have an HD TV it will have HDMI, but not all computers have this connection. If it does, this is the best way. If not, some televisions (and most computers) have VGA - this isn't bad, and it's the setup I use especially since my graphics card can't support the full graphics capabilities of the game.

I hope that by now you are lapping Mosport to get ready for May, or tweaking things at WGI and NHMS to shave off those last few tenths!

When the season rolls around, if we can get enough participants, I might think about hosting an iRacing event just prior to each COM event...although that's a conversation for a later date...

Looks like that error comes up when you try to install with an anti-virus software that gets in the way.
Open up your anti-virus software and either disable it (at your own risk, of course) or try to add the iRacing application (.exe file) to the "safe" or "allowed" lists.

Worst case - try uninstalling your virus anti-software, uninstalling and re-installing iRacing, then re-install the anti-virus software.

Back to Gran Turismo 5 - This game is awesome...but the AI is dumb as rocks (still...feels like GT1), and the difficulty of license tests varies greatly (typical GT series). Overall super solid.

Anyone else already pick up a copy? What races/events/cars are you playing?
